Visa Overstay Fine : Reduced by Half In UAE

UAE cuts Visa overstay fine by Half

Visa Overstay Fine : As part of its visa regulation simplification drive, the UAE administration has revised the overstay visa penalty. Individuals overstaying, including residents, tourists, and visit visa holders, will now be required to pay Dh50 daily instead of Dh100.

This initiative is aimed at promoting adherence to the UAE’s immigration regulations. To ensure visa renewal or extension, expatriates and tourists are advised by UAE authorities to access the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship websites, along with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, to facilitate a more streamlined visa procedure.

To prevent unnecessary expenses, individuals have the option to review the service fees associated with various visas, such as issuance, extension, or cancellation, either in-person or online.

Applicants are also empowered to submit entry permit and visa requests using official channels, which include the authority’s website, smart application, Dubai Now app, and authorized print centres.

Upon approval, applicants will receive a confirmation message and the original entry permit. The UAE also grants a lenient period for those who exceed their visa duration. This period, typically lasting between 10 to 30 days, permits individuals to rectify their immigration status without facing penalties.
