CID Apprehends NRI: In a startling turn of events, an NRI identified as Yesasvi, known for his active involvement as a TDP activist, found himself in the custody of Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) at the Hyderabad airport during the early hours of December 23rd.

Yesasvi, an overseas resident, has been a vocal supporter of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), expressing his views on social media platforms. Notably, he has utilized these platforms to critique Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Through his social media postings, Yesasvi went as far as labelling Jagan as a financial and political terrorist, accusing him of orchestrating his father YSR’s demise in pursuit of becoming the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh. Due to the provocative nature of these posts, AP CID initiated legal action against him.
On the morning of the incident, Yesasvi arrived in Hyderabad, presumably to visit his ailing mother in Andhra Pradesh. However, upon landing, he was swiftly apprehended by CID police and taken into custody. Subsequently, he was held for nearly 12 hours before being released after being served a 41A notice.
Conversely, common NRIs who critique Jagan Mohan Reddy’s governance and highlight his failures find themselves behind bars. The TDP’s NRI wing has also voiced its condemnation of Yesasvi’s arrest, further intensifying the political tension surrounding this incident.
