Sal Khan’s academic journey exemplifies his commitment to learning. Excelling at Grace King High School, he demonstrated exceptional talent in mathematics and graduated as valedictorian in 1994.

His thirst for knowledge led him to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he earned degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, and mathematics. Later, he pursued a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, further honing his skills for the challenges ahead.


Sal Khan’s career trajectory took an unexpected turn when he transitioned from finance to education. In 2004, he began tutoring his cousin in mathematics, laying the groundwork for what would become Khan Academy.
