Education of Jagan Nicholas Ranjan

Ranjan’s academic prowess was evident from the outset. Graduating summa cum laude from Grove City College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts, he exhibited a thirst for knowledge and excellence.

Continuing his academic pursuits, Jagan Nicholas Ranjan pursued a Juris Doctor degree at the prestigious University of Michigan Law School. Career Beginnings

Following his clerkship, Jagan Nicholas Ranjan embarked on a path of public service as a Simon Karas Fellow with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. From 2005 to 2019, Jagan Nicholas Ranjan thrived as an equity partner at K&L Gates’ Pittsburgh office. Federal Judicial Service

In 2018, Ranjan’s sterling reputation led to a nomination by President Donald Trump to the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Despite initial procedural hurdles, Ranjan’s nomination persevered, culminating in his confirmation on July 10, 2019. His judicial commission marked the beginning of a new chapter in his illustrious career.

Ranjan wasted no time in making an impact from the bench. In the face of contentious legal challenges, he upheld the integrity of the electoral process, demanding evidence of voter fraud and delivering judicious rulings.
