Indian Math: Renowned Indian mathematician Dr. T N Subramaniam, famed for his contributions to mathematical models and technology, has passed away in Michigan at the age of 76.

Dr. Subramaniam, who migrated to the US in 1979, leaves behind a rich legacy of innovative achievements in both Indian and American academic spheres.

Indian Math Genius

Initially engaged by General Motors, Dr. Subramaniam played a pivotal role in developing mathematical models for GM vehicles. Later, he founded Route One, a company specializing in auto-financing for GM cars and GPS systems.

He also spearheaded the creation of the server for General Motors’ website in Troy, Michigan.

During a personal encounter with then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Dr. Subramaniam was encouraged to pursue innovative ventures that would bring honor to the nation.

Survived by his wife, daughter, and son-in-law, who hold positions in the Biden administration in Maryland, US, Dr. Subramaniam is also remembered by his younger brother, TN Ashok, an esteemed International Blogger and former Editor (Economics) of Press Trust of India.

Dr. Subramaniam’s groundbreaking work and indelible contributions to the fields of mathematics and technology have left an enduring impact, earning him admiration and respect from peers and colleagues worldwide.

His passing marks a profound loss to the academic and scientific communities, but his legacy will continue to inspire future generations in the pursuit of excellence and innovation.
