Accompanying his tweet was a video capturing the spirited celebration, featuring embassy officials shaking a leg to the rhythm of lively tunes. The joyous atmosphere was infectious, spreading smiles and bridging cultural gaps.
A particularly delightful moment that set social media abuzz was Garcetti himself joining the dance floor. Dressed in a vibrant blue kurta and sporting sunglasses, the ambassador grooved to the beats of the iconic Bollywood song ‘Chhaiya Chhaiya’. The audience erupted in cheers as the diplomat showcased his dance moves, embodying the spirit of Diwali.
The revelry at the US embassy seemed to have started well in advance. A video posted last month depicted a group of American women, adorned in colorful Indian attire, dancing energetically to the Bollywood hit ‘Dilbar’ from the movie Satyamev Jayate.
“We are already getting into the Diwali groove! Watch our American divas shake a leg together on a hit Bollywood song!” the embassy captioned the lively video.
