Business Owner Falls Viral
The trio stands accused of defrauding the victim by charging an exorbitant sum of two hundred thousand dollars for contract work that was never executed. This revelation emerged when the Hudson County Prosecutor, Esther Suarez, filed charges of theft by deception and conspiracy to commit theft against each suspect.
The fraudulent enterprise further garnered negative attention as three individuals, presumably victims, expressed their grievances on Google Reviews, branding Janvi Hotel Supply LLC as a scam.
Prosecutor Esther Suarez refrained from disclosing the identity of the business owner involved or the specific nature of the contracted work, maintaining confidentiality.
Following a comprehensive investigation, Viral Patel and Priyanka Patel, who are identified as a married couple in public records, were apprehended on December 20.
Viral was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus, while Priyanka was taken into custody at their residence in Jersey City. Pratik Patel, the third accomplice, was arrested the following day at the County Prosecutor’s Office.
Subsequently, all three were remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending their initial court appearances, marking a significant development in the legal pursuit of justice for the allegedly defrauded business owner.
