NRI Meetings to Happen in Punjab in Feb

February NRI Meets: In a proactive move to streamline the grievance redressal process for non-resident Indians (NRIs), the Punjab government is set to host four NRI Punjabian naal milni programs in February, as announced by NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Tuesday.

Commencing on February 3 in Pathankot, the first NRI meet will focus on addressing concerns from Pathankot, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Hoshiarpur.

Subsequent events are scheduled for February 9 in Nawanshahr, February 16 in Sangrur, and February 22 in Ferozepur, covering regions such as Ropar, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Mohali, Patiala, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Malerkotla, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Mansa, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Fazilka, Tarn Taran, Moga, and Muktsar Sahib.

To facilitate the process, NRIs can register their grievances on the department’s website, nri.punjab.gov.in, or through WhatsApp at 9056009884 from January 11 to 30. This initiative aims to address the diverse issues faced by NRIs and provide them with a platform to voice their concerns effectively.

Minister Dhaliwal emphasized the significance of these gatherings in fostering direct communication between the government and NRIs, reflecting the state’s commitment to ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of its global diaspora.

The move underscores Punjab’s dedication to efficiently addressing the concerns of its NRI community and strengthening ties with Punjabis around the world.
