Kuwait : In a significant development aimed at enhancing the quality of life for government employees, the Civil Service Council of Kuwait has given the green light to a pioneering proposal put forth by the Ministry of Interior , The introduction of flexible working hours within government agencies in Kuwait.

This transformative initiative is poised to reshape the traditional work landscape and usher in a new era of flexibility and efficiency for the civil servants of Kuwait.

Under this visionary plan, government employees will have the freedom to choose their working hours, with two distinct time slots provided. The first window spans from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, allowing early birds to commence their workday promptly. The second window opens between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM, providing an opportunity for those who prefer a later start or an afternoon shift.

What sets this proposal apart is its ingenious incorporation of a half-hour grace period. This grace period grants employees the flexibility to arrive half an hour later or depart half an hour earlier without affecting their official working hours. In essence, this innovative system ensures that only six and a half hours are counted as official duty time, even though employees have the option to work for a full seven hours.
