A source close to the development disclosed, “This momentous transaction displays the marriage of two of India’s most recognised worldwide icons, Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan, whose partnership is likely to generate a global effect. The outcome is the highest post-theatrical transaction ever made.”

This huge milestone also acts as a strategic step for Jio Cinema, as the platform aspires to increase its worldwide reach and compete with streaming behemoth Netflix. Efforts are ongoing to make the Jio Cinema app available internationally, leveraging on the international popularity of Dunki.

Dunki offers a star-studded ensemble, with the gifted Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal playing crucial parts alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Co-produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films, the film promises to give a memorable cinematic experience.
