As a Matthews Distinguished University Professor at Northeastern University, Nath’s research journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, leaving an indelible mark on the fields of supergravity and particle physics beyond the standard model.

Nath’s academic odyssey began in West Punjab, British India, in 1939. Hailing from a lineage of Kashmiri descent, his insatiable curiosity for the mysteries of the cosmos led him to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Science at the University of Delhi in 1958.
