According to the complainant, who developed a friendship with Tarun on Facebook, their connection escalated into a romantic involvement. Unbeknownst to her, Tarun had ulterior motives, intending to blackmail, cheat, and extort money from her.

The complainant disclosed that Tarun, armed with her phone number, manipulated her images to create morphed pictures and videos, which he subsequently shared on social media groups and with her contacts.

Allegedly, he threatened to disseminate the manipulated content and harm her family unless she complied with his demands.
