A Heart That Beat for Others
Kabir’s success didn’t make him distant; it made him generous. He was a mentor to rising comedians, a friend to many in the comedy circuit, and a constant source of light to his family and fans.
“He helped a lot of people and put a lot of people on stage,” said his sister, Sonya Singh, who shared that Kabir had congenital heart disease and had previously undergone two surgeries. Despite his health challenges, Kabir lived — and laughed — with fearless intensity.
His final performances, including one at the Deaf Puppy Comedy Club in Manteca, California, were as electric as ever. The club paid tribute to Kabir with moving words:
“You lifted up the 209 comedy scene when there was none, and will always be our Champion.”
Gone Too Soon, Remembered Forever
Kabir Singh passed away in his sleep at just 39 years old in his Pleasanton, California home. His mother discovered him that fateful morning. It was a sudden, devastating moment, especially with his 40th birthday approaching. The family was already planning his birthday celebration.
