PM Modi to Unveil Temple in Abu Dhabi
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi graciously accepted an invitation from Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas, along with the board of directors, to inaugurate the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14, 2024, as confirmed by a press statement from BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
The meeting between PM Modi and BAPS Swami Ishwarcharandas took place at the Prime Minister’s residential office, where Modi expressed his wholehearted support for the historic temple.

Swami Ishwarcharandas honored the Prime Minister, recognizing his significant contributions, by adorning him with a garland and draping a saffron shawl over his shoulders. The press statement highlighted Modi’s exceptional efforts in renovating and developing pilgrimage sites across India, a feat unparalleled in recent centuries.
Discussions during the meeting focused on the global significance of the Abu Dhabi temple for harmony and Modi’s vision for India’s spiritual leadership worldwide. PM Modi shared personal memories of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and conveyed prayers for Mahant Swami Maharaj’s health during the centenary celebrations.
The Prime Minister commended the efforts of individuals, volunteers, and supporters involved in the BAPS Hindu Mandir project. PM Modi also engaged in conversation with Chirag Patel about his passion for tennis, inquired about his family, and encouraged his children to pursue success in the sport through hard work.
