Esther Eden Fernandes was born in Goa, India, and soon after moved to the United Arab Emirates, where she would call home. Growing up in Dubai, Esther’s love for music began without formal training, shaped instead by her natural talent and love for songwriting.
Her path toward a music career took a thrilling turn in 2014 when British singer Jessie J visited Al Diyafah High School, where Esther was a student. Recognizing Esther’s talent after hearing her perform, Jessie J invited her to the stage at Red Fest DXB, a high-profile music festival in Dubai. In a matter of hours, Esther found herself singing for over 10,000 people—a moment that transformed her life.
This performance catapulted Esther Eden Fernandes into the spotlight, marking the start of her music career. The exposure led to a contract with Universal Music MENA, setting the foundation for a series of successful projects. She released her debut single, “Phoenix,” in 2016, performing it independently at Red Fest DXB before a crowd of around 15,000 people, where she shared the stage with prominent artists such as Fifth Harmony and Adam Lambert.

Her journey as a performer took her to major festivals in the UAE, including Beats on the Beach and Step Music Festival, where she performed alongside global icons such as Sean Paul, Big Sean, and Trey Songz. In 2019, Esther Eden Fernandes’s achievements reached new heights when Emirates Airlines featured her in an exclusive interview, accompanied by a playlist of her songs on their ICE entertainment system, introducing her to an even wider global audience. Her album, “Solitaire,” was also featured, adding another layer of recognition to her work.
Esther Eden Fernandes: Pushing Boundaries in the Music Industry
Esther’s collaborations have been as diverse as her music itself. In partnership with the Red Bull Music Academy, she became the youngest participant in the Middle East’s Red Bull Bass Camp, collaborating on the track “Calm Before the Storm” with Arabic reggae artist Karrouhat. This collaboration highlighted Esther’s versatility, blending influences from different genres and cultures to create something uniquely her own.
Her creativity and persistence have continued to drive her career forward. In recent years, Esther has been based in Berlin, where she completed a Bachelor’s degree in songwriting from the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM).
