Ambassador of Israel Emphasizes India’s Unwavering Support
Ambassador of Israel: India's Support Is Much Needed
Ambassador of Israel : In a world where geopolitical tensions continue to rise, alliances between nations often hold the key to maintaining stability and countering threats. In a recent statement, the Ambassador of Israel to India, Naor Gilon, underscored the vital role that India plays in bolstering Israel’s position on the global stage.
This assertion comes at a critical juncture as Israel grapples with an unprecedented attack from Hamas, with the conflict entering its second day.
Ambassador of Israel Naor Gilon elucidated two primary reasons for the significance of India’s support. Firstly, he emphasized India’s immense importance in the world arena. As one of the largest and most influential nations, India’s stance on global issues carries significant weight.

Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, Ambassador Naor highlighted India’s extensive experience in dealing with terrorism, a shared challenge that binds the two nations.
“India comes from a position of a country that knows terrorism,” Ambassador of Israel Naor explained. “So it comes from a point of knowledge and not of ignorance.
And for that, we are very much thankful. Israel needs only moral and political support. Work on the ground we know how to do it, but we need to have the ability to execute the plan in order to make sure that Hamas will not threaten anyone else again.”
The recent attack by Hamas, which saw infiltrators from the Gaza Strip bomb Israel, has sent shockwaves through the international community. With the death toll continuing to climb, the world watches closely, evaluating the reactions of nations and the clarity with which they choose sides in the long-standing Israel-Palestine conflict.
In this context, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to express his solidarity with Israel, condemning the attack without naming the perpetrators. “We stand in solidarity with Israel at this difficult hour,” PM Modi’s message resounded, denouncing the “terrorist attacks.” Israel promptly expressed its gratitude for this support.
Israel’s retaliation to the attack, marked by the declaration of war against Hamas, has ushered in a long and challenging battle. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cautioned the nation, warning of a protracted struggle ahead. Thousands of Israeli forces have been deployed with a 24-hour deadline to flush out the infiltrators.
Israeli media reports have placed the toll at around 600 casualties, making this one of the worst conflicts in decades. Amidst the turmoil, several Indian nationals find themselves in Israel, but there have been no reports of Indian casualties. Ambassador of Israel Naor Gilon reassured, “We don’t know of Indian foreign nationals so far; we didn’t get any information of such.”
The importance of India’s support for Israel now looms large, as Ambassador of Israel Naor pointed out that Hamas is likely to present themselves as victims with Israeli hostages to hide behind.
“This is always the issue,” he emphasized. “That’s why we will need this very strong support of our Indian friends and India as a very influential country in the world, as a country that knows terrorism and understands the crisis, it will be very important for us to give us the ability to do what we need to do in order to make sure that Hamas will not be able to continue doing atrocities.
It’s clear to us that Iran is involved with it. We know for sure about supplying of weapons, training…” the Ambassador of Israel said.
