As a right-arm off-spin bowler and a right-handed batsman, he showcased his skills at the U-14 and U-16 district levels. His family’s move to the United States in 2000, when he was just 14, marked the beginning of a new chapter.

Adapting swiftly to his new environment, Abhimanyu Rajp entered the U-17 and U-19 cricket scene in the US, emerging as one of the nation’s All-stars by 2004. Critics soon hailed him as a future star in the USA cricket circuit, recognizing his exceptional talent and dedication.

Concurrently, he led the South West Region Under-19 team in the annual USA National Under-19 Tournaments from 2004 to 2006. His consistent performances earned him a spot in the national under-19 team in 2005.

In the 2005 ICC Americas Under-19 Championship, Rajp’s stellar performance, particularly against Bermuda, where he took 5 for 7, helped USA secure a historic spot in the 2006 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. Rajp emerged as the tournament MVP and best bowler, ending with a tournament-high 11 wickets in four games.

As vice-captain of the US team in the 2006 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Rajp continued his impressive form, finishing among the top ten wicket-takers and setting a record with a five-wicket haul against New Zealand, a full-member nation.

USA Domestic Cricket: Dominating the Circuit

Rajp’s prowess extended into the USA domestic cricket scene, where he has been a top performer in the Southern California Cricket Association and the South West Region in national tournaments. His standout performance in the 2010 Western Conference, taking a record 7 wickets in one innings, cemented his reputation as a formidable bowler.
