Post-PhD, Sen’s professional voyage included a stint at Woodward-Clyde Consultants in Pasadena, California, from 1987 to 1989. Notably, Mrinal Kanti Sen assumed the role of a professor at the Department of Geological Sciences (DGS) in 2004, concurrently serving as the head of the energy research division at UTIG.
