Indian Americans Celebrate Ram Mandir and Republic Day
Boston Indian Americans: Indian-Americans in Boston celebrated the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Mandir and India’s 75th Republic Day at Worcester’s historic Union Station, over 45 miles west of Boston.
Worcester Mayor Joseph M. Petty issued a proclamation designating January 26 as India’s 75th Republic Day, urging residents to recognize and participate in its observance.

Addressing the event, Mayor Petty highlighted shared values between India and the USA, emphasizing the natural alliance between the two nations. State Senator Mike Moore echoed this sentiment, expressing optimism that the Ram Mandir inauguration would usher in an era of happiness and prosperity.
Organized by the Foundation of Indian Americans – New England, the event featured speeches by community leaders and dignitaries. Abhishek Singh, the foundation’s president, expressed that the Ram Mandir inauguration was a dream come true.
In his speech, he envisioned the commencement of a Ramrajya era, characterized by adherence to Shri Ram’s principles and a prosperous future.
Eminent members of the community attended the event, which brought together Indian-Americans to celebrate the cultural and religious significance of the upcoming Ram Mandir inauguration and the milestone of India’s 75th Republic Day.
The festivities underscored the strong cultural ties and camaraderie within the Indian-American community in Boston, fostering a sense of unity and celebration of shared values.
