NRI Community : The NRI Billava community in Bahrain organized a public Satyanarayana Pooja at the auditorium of the Krishna temple in Manama, with around 800 devotees participating in the religious ritual.

Marking the 21st year since its formation, the organization commenced its anniversary celebrations with this pooja. Vaidika Rakesh Shanti, flown in from India, conducted the rituals, accompanied by bhajans throughout the ceremony.
The ritual commenced with prayers to the Almighty on behalf of Harish Poojary, president of Bahrain Billavas, and other office bearers. The pooja included Ganapati Pooja, Kalasa Pooja, Navagraha Pooja, Guru Pooja, Vritha Kalpokti Pooja, and the recitation of the Satyanaraya God’s story, culminating in the Maha Mangalarati.
Addressing the devotees, Harish Poojary emphasized the need for cooperation to propel the organization forward. Priest Rakesh Shanti was honored with a shawl and memento, while outgoing chief secretary Roopesh Salian and Bhakti Vriksha Bajana Mandali were also felicitated. Additionally, Bahrain Billavas bid farewell to children departing for higher education in India, presenting them with gifts.
Representatives from various community organizations in Bahrain joined in the ritual. Following the Maha Mangalarati and distribution of Prasadam, lunch was served to all attendees, fostering camaraderie and community spirit.
The event not only celebrated religious traditions but also highlighted the unity and support within the NRI Billava community, reinforcing bonds and fostering a sense of belonging among its members.
