Hailing from a family steeped in literary and artistic traditions, with his grandfather being the illustrious Kannada poet Gopalakrishna Adiga, creativity coursed through Sharat’s veins. He honed his craft at Hinsdale South High School before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the prestigious University of Michigan.

During his time at the University of Michigan, Sharat Raju’s passion for storytelling burgeoned as he served as the sports editor of The Michigan Daily and contributed as a freelance reporter for the Daily Herald.

Fuelled by his fervent desire to delve deeper into the realm of filmmaking, he embarked on a transformative journey, earning a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the esteemed American Film Institute.
