Born to Shankar Reddy and Sara Reddy, she pursued her education in India, including a law degree from Central University and an MA from Osmania University. In 1991, she married Karri Buchi Reddy, a software engineer, and together, they embarked on a new chapter in Australia.
In Australia, Sandhya Reddy furthered her education, earning a degree in migration law from the Australian National University. She also dedicated herself to the field of immigration law. Alongside her husband, she undertook extensive community service activities in Strathfield. Notably, their joint efforts led to the installation of a bronze statue honouring former Indian Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao at the Homebush Community Center in Strathfield. Sandhya’s tireless commitment was duly recognized when she received the Best Citizen Award in 2020.
