Raj Subramaniam was born in the vibrant city of Thiruvananthapuram, India, into a Malayali Hindu family. He spent his formative years at Loyola School in Thiruvananthapuram before embarking on a journey that would eventually lead him to the pinnacle of corporate leadership.
At the age of 15, he moved to Mumbai, where he completed his high school education at SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce in Sion(W).

Raj Subramaniam’s journey with FedEx began in 1991 when he joined as an associate marketing analyst. He quickly proved his mettle, rapidly ascending the corporate ladder through various management and marketing roles in both Asia and the United States.
His impressive career trajectory includes serving as the Vice-President of Marketing at FedEx Express in the Asia-Pacific region starting in 1996. In 2003, he was appointed as the regional president of Canada. From 2013 to 2019, he held the role of Executive VP, Marketing and Communication, showcasing his strategic vision and leadership skills.
