PM Modi to give a speech in Washington
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to deliver a speech in Washington on June 23, addressing a distinguished gathering of Indian Americans from all over the United States. The focus of his talk will be on the significant role played by the diaspora in India’s remarkable growth journey, as confirmed by a prominent community leader.
The Prime Minister’s visit to the US, scheduled from June 21 to June 24, is taking place upon the invitation of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. A state dinner will be hosted by the Bidens on June 22 in honor of Modi’s visit.
Additionally, as part of his itinerary, Modi will be delivering a speech to the Joint Session of Congress on June 22. The evening of June 23 has been allocated for Modi’s address, exclusively for leaders of the diaspora, with invitations being extended nationwide.
The highly regarded Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, renowned for hosting numerous high-profile events in the past, has been selected as the venue for the Prime Minister’s speech. This esteemed location, named after former US President Ronald Reagan, has a seating capacity of 900 individuals.
Extensive preparations are underway for the sole community event taking place during the Prime Minister’s visit. A national organizing committee, comprising 25 distinguished individuals, has been established to ensure its success. The committee is working diligently to make all the necessary arrangements.
