PM Modi: In a historic demonstration of India’s growing diplomatic influence, Prime Minister Modi’s 2025 Multinational Diplomatic Visit is set to span five nations across three continents, strengthening India’s global partnerships and reaffirming its role as a leading force in global diplomacy. Beginning July 2, 2025, the Prime Minister will embark on a momentous journey to Ghana, Trinidad & Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia, reinforcing India’s commitment to inclusive development, strategic collaboration, and South-South cooperation.
PM Modi: A Landmark Visit to Ghana – Bridging a 30-Year Gap
The first leg of the Prime Minister’s journey takes him to Ghana from July 2–3, 2025. Marking the first prime ministerial visit to Ghana in three decades, this historic stop is poised to revitalize India-Ghana ties. Prime Minister Modi will meet President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to explore avenues in energy, defence, trade, and developmental cooperation.
The visit is set to boost India’s engagement with ECOWAS and the African Union, opening doors for greater South-South connectivity and solidarity. The shared vision of a prosperous, peaceful, and cooperative Global South will be a key pillar of the dialogue.
Rekindling Ties with Trinidad & Tobago: A Historic Return
The second stop of Prime Minister Modi’s 2025 Multinational Diplomatic Visit is Trinidad & Tobago from July 3–4, upon the invitation of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar. It marks the first bilateral visit at the prime ministerial level to T&T since 1999, and the first ever for Prime Minister Modi. During his stay, he will hold talks with President Christine Carla Kangaloo and Prime Minister Bissessar, with discussions expected to highlight cooperation in healthcare, digital innovation, cultural exchange, and climate resilience.
In a symbolic and powerful moment, Prime Minister Modi is also slated to address a Joint Session of the Trinidad & Tobago Parliament, underlining the long-standing, people-to-people bonds and shared democratic values between both nations.
PM Modi: Forging Ahead with Argentina – Strategic Cooperation in Focus
From July 4–5, 2025, Prime Minister Modi will undertake a key visit to Argentina at the invitation of President Javier Milei. The bilateral talks are expected to revolve around expanding collaboration in defence, agriculture, renewable energy, mining, oil and gas, and trade. As both countries strive to diversify their strategic portfolios, the visit is poised to enhance technological and economic exchange. It also reflects a maturing partnership rooted in mutual respect, shared aspirations, and a commitment to a multipolar world order.
Brazil: BRICS Summit and a Strategic Bilateral Engagement
From July 5–8, 2025, the Prime Minister will travel to Brazil, where he will attend the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, followed by a State Visit in Brasilia. This marks his fourth visit to Brazil, symbolizing India’s consistent investment in the BRICS partnership.
At the Summit, global challenges such as climate change, AI regulation, global governance reform, and peace and security will dominate the agenda. On the bilateral front, Prime Minister Modi will engage with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to deepen the India-Brazil Strategic Partnership across trade, defence, space, agriculture, and people-centric development. With growing alignment on multilateralism and sustainable development, this leg stands as a cornerstone of the visit.
Namibia: Honoring Legacy, Building the Future
The final chapter of Prime Minister Modi’s 2025 Multinational Diplomatic Visit concludes with a State Visit to Namibia on July 9, 2025, at the invitation of President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah. This will be his first-ever visit to the country and only the third Indian Prime Ministerial visit to Namibia.
During his time in Windhoek, Prime Minister Modi will pay homage to the Founding Father and first President of Namibia, Dr. Sam Nujoma, a towering figure in African liberation history. He is also expected to address the Namibian Parliament, highlighting India’s historic support for Namibia’s independence and reaffirming its commitment to education, healthcare, mining, and renewable energy collaboration.
