Early Career: Building a Global Executive Mindset

Before his defining chapter at Dura-Line, Paresh Chari built a diverse and formidable professional portfolio. He held senior and principal leadership roles at globally respected organizations including AT&T, Emerson Electric, Halliburton (Kellogg Brown & Root), Ameritech New Media, and Jordan Industries.

These formative years exposed him to complex international operations, infrastructure development, energy services, and telecommunications—industries that demand precision, resilience, and strategic foresight. This breadth of experience laid the groundwork for his later success in managing multinational enterprises through periods of rapid growth and structural change.

Paresh Chari: The Dura-Line Era – Transforming a Regional Business into a Global Leader

The most defining chapter in the Paresh Chari biography began in 1998, when he assumed leadership at Dura-Line Corporation. At the time, Dura-Line was a modest $65 million operation. Over the next two decades, under his stewardship as President, CEO, and later Chairman of the Board, the company underwent one of the most remarkable growth transformations in the industrial manufacturing sector.

Unprecedented Business Growth

Through a clear strategic vision, disciplined execution, and relentless focus on operational excellence, Paresh Chari expanded Dura-Line’s footprint across international markets, including India, Oman, Europe, and South Africa. The company evolved into a global leader in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduit and pipe solutions, serving critical infrastructure sectors worldwide.

By the time of his retirement, Dura-Line had grown into a $1.2 billion global enterprise, with manufacturing facilities, supply chains, and customer relationships spanning multiple continents.

Navigating Ownership Transitions with Strategic Precision

One of Paresh Chari’s most exceptional achievements was his ability to lead Dura-Line successfully through multiple ownership changes—a challenge that often destabilizes organizations. Under his leadership, the company transitioned through ownership by Emerson Electric and several private equity firms, including Jordan Industries, Sun Capital, Audax Group, and CHS.

Each transition was not merely managed but transformed into an opportunity for value creation. Every sale resulted in significant returns for stakeholders, a rare accomplishment that speaks to his credibility, strategic clarity, and operational discipline.

The journey culminated in Dura-Line’s acquisition by Orbia (formerly Mexichem) in 2014—a landmark moment that positioned the company within a broader global industrial ecosystem.

Leadership at Orbia: Steering a $4+ Billion Global Business

Following the acquisition, Paresh Chari was appointed President of Orbia’s Fluent Group, a global business segment valued at over $4 billion, encompassing more than 90 facilities and 15,000 employees worldwide.

In this role, he oversaw complex multinational operations, drove integration across regions, and strengthened Orbia’s global leadership in infrastructure solutions. His tenure reinforced his reputation as an executive capable of leading large-scale organizations with precision, empathy, and strategic foresight.

Boardroom Influence and Advisory Leadership

Even after retiring from executive management in January 2019, Paresh Chari continued to shape global business through board and advisory roles. He previously served on the boards of Wavin (Netherlands) and Netafim (Israel), contributing to governance and long-term strategy at globally respected organizations.
