Operation Sindoor: Indian Diaspora in Japan Applauds All-Party Stand Against Terrorism

Operation Sindoor Global Outreach: Indian MPs Rally Diaspora in Japan Against Terrorism

In a powerful demonstration of unity and purpose, an all-party delegation of Indian Members of Parliament (MPs) is currently touring key nations under the banner of Operation Sindoor global outreach, aimed at strengthening global consensus and solidarity in the fight against terrorism. The delegation’s stop in Japan witnessed a resounding show of support from the Indian diaspora, echoing India’s call for peace and global cooperation.

The initiative, launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, is India’s diplomatic and strategic counter to cross-border terrorism, notably from Pakistan. It represents a rare display of bipartisan solidarity, reflecting a collective stand that transcends political affiliations. The delegation, comprising representatives from the BJP, JD(U), CPI(M), and TMC, is currently engaging with Indian communities and foreign policymakers in Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Diaspora in Japan: Voices for Peace and Unity

Speaking in Tokyo, Swapnali, a member of the Indian diaspora residing in Japan for two decades, said, “We want peace. People from different parties and communities should come together and speak in one voice against terrorism, which we saw here in Tokyo. The enemy will never forget India’s response.”

Niharika Jisnu, a 19-year-old first-year university student, added, “It is very impressive to see a politically diverse nation come together as one to fight against the Pahalgam terrorist attack. It makes me proud to be Indian, even while living abroad.”

Another community member praised India’s approach: “Operation Sindoor was an excellent response. Now we are using diplomacy by sending parliamentarians to the major countries we deal with. This is a very good initiative and they are doing an excellent job of representing India globally.”

Brij Lal Highlights India’s Firm Stand on Terror

During his address to the diaspora, BJP MP Brij Lal did not mince words about Pakistan’s role in sponsoring terrorism. He highlighted extensive evidence linking Pakistan to terror networks like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

“A country becomes developed when there is peace, law, and order. Without that, no investor will want to come,” Lal said. “Pakistan’s strategy has been to disrupt peace through terrorism so that India remains unstable and unattractive to foreign investments.”

He recalled several major attacks attributed to Pakistan-backed groups, including the 2005 attack on the Indian Science Congress, the 2008 CRPF attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, which claimed 171 lives. He noted, “We caught Kasab, a Pakistani national. Despite initial denials, Pakistani media themselves confirmed his identity. We have overwhelming evidence.”

India’s Surgical Response and Global Messaging

Brij Lal lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, emphasizing retaliatory strikes such as the 2016 surgical strike, the 2019 Balakot airstrike, and the most recent April 22 precision retaliation.

“They tried to bleed India with a thousand cuts. But now we hit back with precision. It is war—whenever there is terrorism, we will consider it war,” he affirmed, gaining loud applause from the community.

Operation Sindoor Global Outreach: A Diplomatic Offensive

The delegation, led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha, includes Ambassador Mohan Kumar, Dr. Hemang Joshi (BJP), John Brittas (CPI-M), Aparajita Sarangi (BJP), Brij Lal (BJP), Pradan Baruah (BJP), and Abhishek Banerjee (TMC).

Their mission is twofold: to reassure the Indian diaspora of their homeland’s strength and to brief international stakeholders on India’s strategic and diplomatic resolve. Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, was a calibrated response not only militarily but diplomatically, aimed at exposing and countering Pakistan’s long-standing terror machinery.

The Indian Armed Forces responded swiftly and decisively, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The operation was followed by successful deterrence as Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations reached out to India seeking cessation of military action—indicating the efficacy of India’s policy shift.
