NRI Woman Alleges Company CEO of Rape in Delhi

NRI Woman: In a distressing incident, an Indian-origin US citizen, aged in her 40s, has reported an alleged rape by her colleague, identified as the chief executive officer of a private firm in New Delhi.

The incident purportedly occurred at a five-star hotel in the Chanakyapuri area of New Delhi on September 14 last year. The victim approached the Delhi Police in January, sharing details of the traumatic event that transpired a few months prior.

The accused, who holds a prominent position in a private firm, has not been apprehended as of yet. According to a senior police officer, the survivor and the accused knew each other, and the accused had aided the survivor in securing her position as an assistant general manager in the same firm.

A case has been registered under sections related to rape, and investigations are underway. The survivor, an NRI woman residing in the United States, decided to bring the matter to light, seeking justice for the alleged assault.

The delay in reporting highlights the challenges victims often face in coming forward with such cases. The Delhi Police are actively pursuing the case to bring the accused to justice and ensure a thorough investigation into the disturbing allegations.

This incident raises concerns about workplace safety and underscores the importance of addressing allegations of sexual assault promptly and diligently, irrespective of the professional hierarchy involved.
