The confrontation occurred after Harwinder made contact with his employee, Shyam Sunder, who has been working for the NRI for the past 22 years. Sunder manages the NRI’s property, collects rent, and operates a nursery on a piece of land under a contract with the employer.

The incident unfolded when Harwinder, who returned to India in September the previous year, engaged in a verbal exchange with Sunder over the phone. The conversation escalated into a spat upon Harwinder’s return. In a startling turn of events, Harwinder allegedly fired multiple gunshots into the air.

Following a formal complaint by Shyam Sunder, a case has been registered under Section 336 of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. Assistant sub-inspector Rajinder Singh, investigating the case, revealed that Harwinder possessed a licensed 12-bore rifle.

Law enforcement swiftly arrested Harwinder, confiscating the firearm and initiating legal proceedings against him. The motive behind the dispute and subsequent gunfire is under investigation as the police work to ensure accountability in this unsettling incident.
