Marlene Malahoo Forte’s legal journey began with her obtaining a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of the West Indies, followed by a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. Her pursuit of excellence led her to King’s College London, where she earned a Master of Law (LLM) as a Commonwealth Scholar.
Her academic prowess is further evidenced by her Master of Public Administration (MPA) Degree and Diploma in Public Policy and Management from Harvard University, as well as her distinction as a Yale World Fellow.
As a young legal professional, Marlene quickly established herself as a formidable prosecutor in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Her enviable success rate in trial and appellate courts garnered her respect and recognition.

In March 2016, Marlene Malahoo Forte was appointed as the Honourable Attorney General of Jamaica, under the leadership of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) and Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
