Kangana Ranaut Accuses Karan Johar of Manipulating Box Office Figures through Paid PR

Kangana Ranaut Slams : In an unexpected turn of events, Bollywood’s well-known celebrities, (Kangana Ranaut) and Karan Johar, have once again found themselves entangled in a heated debate. While Karan Johar’s latest film, “Rocky and Rani’s Love Story,” continues its successful run at the box office, Kangana Ranaut has resorted to social media to challenge the legitimacy of the movie’s spectacular earnings.

In a series of tweets and stories uploaded on her official Instagram account, Kangana Ranaut lashed out at Karan Johar, accusing him of manipulating the film’s box office results through ‘bought PR.’ The actress backed her claims by releasing an old video of Johar replying to a student’s inquiry regarding sponsored PR, where he essentially admits that stats may be influenced by financial influence.

Kangana’s caption stated, “Karan Johar ji is stating that I can achieve anything by throwing money. I can make any assumption… I can make a hit a flop, a flop a hit. I can prove day to night and night to day, just by throwing money. What do you think, Karan Johar is speaking right?”

The furious actress did not stop there. She went on to stress the ethical consequences of altering views through paid PR, calling it a “monstrous task” and “malicious” conduct. Kangana underlined the necessity for the Hindi cinema industry to introspect and solve the difficulties it faces, likening it to a “sinking ship” that required immediate attention.

Kangana Ranaut Slams On Karan Johar

Karan Johar’s influence on the industry did not spare the principal actors of “Rocky and Rani’s Love Story” either. Kangana explicitly addressed Ranveer Singh, telling him to keep away from Johar’s influence on his wearing style. She recommended the actor to wear a more traditional Indian dress, evocative of legendary performers like Dharmendra and Vinod Khanna, applauding the dignified manner in which South Indian actors carry themselves.

Drawing a connection between “Rocky and Rani’s Love Story” and Hollywood’s latest release “Oppenheimer,” Kangana voiced her dismay at the glaring contrast between an epic tale of science and the traditional melodramatic narrative seen in Bollywood films. She questioned the expensive budget spent on such movies, pushing Karan Johar to allow space for fresh and creative filmmakers in the industry.
