Elon Musk : Criticizes President Biden over illegal immigration
Elon Musk : Critique Highlights Escalating Border Crisis
Elon Musk : In a surprising turn of events, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk took a jab at President Joe Biden’s administration, pointing out what he sees as a failure to tackle the growing problem of illegal immigration along the U.S.-Mexico border. Comments of Elon Musk came in response to shocking images shared by reporter Bill Melugin, showcasing a “mass illegal crossing” at Eagle Pass, Texas.
“Strange that there is almost no legacy media coverage of this. About two million people — from every country on Earth — are entering through the US southern border every year. The number is rising rapidly, yet no preventive action is taken by the current administration,” the X CEO Elon Musk wrote in a retweet of Melugin’s post.
Concerns of Elon Musk aren’t unfounded. According to data from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection for the year 2022, over two million migrants were encountered by U.S. border authorities, painting a grim picture of the ongoing crisis.
Eagle Pass, Texas, which has recently declared a state of emergency, reported a surge of 4,000 migrants from Mexico. The situation further deteriorated when a separate group of 2,500 individuals illegally crossed the border earlier in the week. Eagle Pass Mayor, Rolando Salinas, expressed deep concerns about the migrants’ reluctance to follow instructions and hinted at the possibility of peace disturbances.

While Mayor Salinas assured that the situation under the bridge should be resolved within a couple of days, he also cautioned that a repeat of the Del Rio incident, where a massive influx of migrants overwhelmed authorities, could occur if another wave of migrants arrives.
The unexpected criticism of Elon Musk underscores the gravity of the immigration issue, which has been a contentious topic in American politics for years. The increasing number of migrants attempting to cross the U.S. southern border presents a complex challenge for the Biden administration, raising questions about border security, humanitarian concerns, and the need for comprehensive immigration reform.
