In March 2015, Madan organised the 18th Biennial NFIA Convention at the Sheraton Hotel in Cerritos, California, which attracted influential figures, including Consul General Venkatesan Ashok. There, Madan was unanimously elected as President of NFIA—an acknowledgement of his tireless work to unify and elevate the Indian American community.
Reflecting on the journey of NFIA, Madan remarked,
“It was almost 35 years ago when Dr. Thomas Abraham brought together over a thousand Indian community leaders to form NFIA. Since then, it has grown into a powerful pillar of U.S.-India relations. I’m proud to carry forward that vision.”
