US : Issues Record 90,000 Visas To Indian Students In 3 months

US : Indian Students in the Record-breaking Visa Issuance

US : In a monumental development, the United States has granted a record-breaking number of visas to students from India during the months of June, July, and August. The U.S. Mission in India made this historic announcement on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that more than 90,000 visas were issued to ambitious Indian students pursuing higher education in the United States. This unprecedented surge marks a significant moment in the realm of international education.

The US Mission’s tweet also disclosed that nearly one in every four student visas issued worldwide during this period was granted in India. In a heartwarming message to Indian students, the US Mission extended its congratulations and best wishes, saying, “Congratulations and best wishes to all the students who have chosen the United States to make their higher education goals a reality.”

These staggering numbers were unveiled as the US Mission concluded its visa application process for the upcoming academic session. The official announcement read, “That’s a wrap! With teamwork and innovation, we ensured that all qualified applicants reached their programs on time.”

US & Remarkable Surge

This remarkable surge in Indian student visas comes on the heels of India surpassing China in 2022 to become the leading country worldwide with the highest number of international students studying in the United States. In 2020, India boasted nearly 207,000 international students in the U.S., a testament to the growing trend of Indian students choosing the U.S. as their preferred destination for higher education.

A recent report sheds light on the factors driving this surge in Indian students seeking education abroad. It attributes the increase to streamlined application procedures, generous financial aid, and an array of scholarships offered by foreign universities to attract Indian talent.

Additionally, France has also expressed its eagerness to welcome a substantial number of Indian students, setting a goal of hosting around 30,000 by 2030. Achieving this ambition entails fostering academic excellence, enhancing cultural ties, and strengthening the lasting friendship between the two nations.
