As of the latest update on November 1, the waiting period for obtaining an interview appointment for a US visa in the B1 and B2 categories is as follows: 37 days in Delhi, 126 days in Kolkata, 322 days in Mumbai, and 511 days in Hyderabad.

Visitor visas are non-immigrant visas designed for individuals seeking temporary entry into the United States for business purposes (B1), tourism (B2), or a combination of both (B1/B2).
On a recent Wednesday, the US Embassy in India announced on X that they had opened more than 250K non-immigrant visa appointments over the weekend.
In November of the previous year, a senior official from the US Embassy mentioned that they anticipated a significant reduction in the waiting period for the issuance of American visas by the summer of 2023, with the number of visa applications expected to reach approximately 1.2M.
Historically, New Delhi has raised concerns with Washington about the lengthy waiting times for US visas.
