Telangana Gets: Dr. Madhavi Reddy and Dr. Srikanth Mandumala, UK citizens originally from Telangana, have generously given back to their hometown by constructing a state-of-the-art Science Block and Library at Zilla Parishad High School in Masaipet Mandal.
Dr. Madhavi, the daughter of local farmers, Anthireddigari Keshava Reddy and Ramalakshmi, has been actively involved in supporting underprivileged communities. Three years ago, she donated furniture, sports materials, and science lab equipment to the school, along with overseeing the painting of the primary school.
Telangana Gets Library
During her visit, Dr. Madhavi engaged with teachers and students, leading to her decision to fund the construction of a Library and Science Lab block. She collaborated with local charity organization Dr. Suguna Ram Mohan Educational Society and three UK-based international charities: Lions Club of Enfield, Empowerment through Education, and Shanta Foundation.
The project was completed in six months, with an estimated cost of Rs. 60 lakh, and the building was named after her father, Anthireddygari Keshava Reddy.
The inaugural program, held at the school, witnessed gratitude from teachers, students, and villagers. Dr. Madhavi and the charity organizations pledged to support financially challenged students by covering their tuition fees for higher studies.
The couple’s philanthropic efforts, spanning from infrastructure development to ongoing educational support, demonstrate a commendable commitment to the welfare of their community. The local community expressed heartfelt appreciation for their altruistic contributions.
