In 2015, Sirisha Bandla found her calling at Virgin Galactic, a pioneering company at the forefront of commercial space travel. Here, amidst a team of visionaries and innovators, she discovered a new avenue to pursue her dreams of space exploration. Joining as the Vice President of Government Affairs and Research Operations, Bandla became a pivotal figure in the company’s mission to democratize space travel.
Her role at Virgin Galactic involved advocating for advancements in space exploration and fostering research opportunities aboard the company’s spacecraft. Bandla’s expertise and leadership proved invaluable as Virgin Galactic pushed the boundaries of space tourism, paving the way for a new era of commercial space travel.
Making History: A Journey to Space
Bandla’s lifelong dream of spaceflight became a reality in July 2021 when she joined the crew of the Virgin Galactic Unity 22 mission.
