Pro-Khalistan : In a startling revelation, Indian intelligence sources have unveiled the disturbing growth of a “Pro-Khalistan Brigade” in Canada, shedding light on a clandestine network that exploits young Punjabi youths through deceptive visas for medium-skilled jobs and religious duties. This alarming development has raised concerns about the rise of separatist activities on Canadian soil.
Under the facade of providing employment and religious service opportunities, individuals like the late terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar and other Pro-Khalistan elements in Canada have been orchestrating a well-structured network.
They sponsor visas for impressionable Punjab youths, often luring them with promises of shelter and low-scale jobs within gurdwaras under their control, all in the name of “sustenance” for illegal immigrants and Indian students.
Many of these unsuspecting youths find themselves ensnared in the separatist movement, their initial aspirations of working as plumbers, truck drivers, or fulfilling religious duties as sewadars, pathis, and ragis manipulated to serve a more sinister purpose.
Across regions like Surrey, Brampton, Edmonton, and beyond, these young individuals are systematically drawn into organizing anti-India protests and participating in radical-religious congregations.
Pro-Khalistan & Canadian Agencies
Canadian agencies, seemingly oblivious, have allowed this human trafficking channel to operate openly, providing the Pro-Khalistan elements with a steady stream of recruits.
The lack of support for the Khalistani cause among the local Indian diaspora is compensated for by this method, assert Indian security agencies.
The soft stance of Canadian authorities towards Pro-Khalistani elements has emboldened them, not only within gurdwaras but also to the extent of intimidating Hindu members of the local Indian diaspora and threatening to deface their temples.
The foot soldiers of the Khalistan brigade have been instrumental in garnering support for the ‘Khalistan Referendum’ campaign led by Sikhs For Justice (SFJ). Furthermore, Nijjar, Bual, and Bhagat Singh Brar established connections with gangsters in Punjab, facilitating the relocation of wanted criminals to Canada, effectively evading counter-terrorism efforts in India.
This unholy nexus between Pro-Khalistan elements and Canadian gangsters has also been linked to drug smuggling operations from Pakistan into Punjab, with the proceeds being channeled into funding Khalistan activities.
While investigations have linked Canada-based Khalistani extremists to numerous terror cases in Punjab, Canadian agencies have remained inactive, failing to initiate inquiries against individuals like Nijjar, Bhagat Singh Brar, Parry Dulai, Arsh Dalla, and Lakbir Landa.
The situation reached a tragic peak in 2022 when pro-India Sikh leader Ripudaman Singh Malik was killed in Surrey, with suspicions pointing towards Nijjar’s involvement. Nevertheless, Canadian agencies chose to charge two local criminals, not of Indian origin, in the case.
