Kuwait : In a remarkable display of cultural unity and sporting enthusiasm, grand Onam celebrations recently unfolded in the Gulf country of Kuwait. The event saw a spirited participation of a large number of Indian expatriates, who wholeheartedly engaged in the festivities, making it a memorable occasion for all. The highlight of these celebrations was an adrenaline-pumping ‘Tug of War’ competition, organized by none other than the renowned Lulu Group.
The energy was palpable as the tug-of-war competition took centre stage at the Alroy outlet on the 25th of August. Companies that understand the significance of fostering community spirit and cultural heritage, such as Alwajan, Afia, IFFCO, and Noor Oil, lent their support by sponsoring the event.
A total of 12 teams passionately battled it out in this riveting competition, each showcasing their strength, determination, and teamwork to emerge victorious. The Kuwait Kerala Tug of War Association (KKTA), the driving force behind these competitions, ensured that the event was seamlessly organized, adding to the overall excitement.
The event was graced by the presence of top management officials from Lulu Kuwait and representatives of the sponsoring companies. Their participation added a touch of prestige to the occasion. The winning teams were honoured with cash prizes and shields, symbolizing their achievement and acknowledging their spirit.
