Telangana NRI Dies in Ski Accident

 

NRI from Telangana: Tragedy struck in Key West, Florida, claiming the life of Venkataramana Pittala, a 27-year-old student hailing from Telangana, India. Pittala, enrolled in a Master’s Degree program at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), met with a fatal accident on March 9 involving a jet ski collision.

The collision occurred near a waterpark and involved two jet skis, resulting in Pittala’s untimely demise. His sudden passing has left his family and friends devastated, prompting efforts to gather funds for transporting his remains back to Telangana for final rites.

According to reports from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, a 14-year-old boy was operating one of the jet skis involved in the tragic accident. While no arrests have been made, the Commission confirmed that the boy emerged uninjured from the collision.

This unfortunate incident serves as a poignant reminder of the inherent risks associated with water sports and the critical importance of adhering to safety protocols to avert such heartbreaking tragedies.
