NIA : Busts Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants Network in Bengaluru: 24 Nationals Tracked Down

NIA's Operation Exposes Decade-Long Illegal Immigration Network and Counterfeit Identity Web

NIA : In a dramatic revelation, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has unveiled a major breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to curb illegal immigration. During a meticulously executed search operation, the NIA successfully located and apprehended 24 Bangladeshi nationals who had been residing illegally in Bengaluru. This unprecedented operation sheds light on a well-organized network that has allowed these individuals to evade the authorities for over a decade.

The investigation, which culminated in the apprehension of these illegal immigrants, began with the NIA’s discovery of three key individuals – Khaleel Chaparasi, Abdul Khadir, and Mohammad Zaheed. These names emerged during a search operation conducted in the bustling Bellandur area of the city earlier this week. The NIA’s swift and strategic approach led them to these individuals, who were found to be in possession of counterfeit identity documents.

Preliminary findings indicate that these illegal immigrants managed to enter the country with the aid of a broker, whom they allegedly paid Rs 20,000 for his services. The shocking revelation is that they not only entered the country illicitly but also managed to acquire government-issued documents, including Aadhaar cards and ration cards, further enabling them to evade suspicion and blend into the local population seamlessly.

NIA & Authorities

The authorities have since handed over the 24 apprehended individuals to the jurisdictional Bellandur police. The immigrants, whose presence in the country dates back to 2011, now find themselves facing the legal repercussions of their actions. An FIR has been lodged under the provisions of the Foreigners Act, specifically Sections 14 (C) and 14 (A), as well as the Passports Act. The local police are leaving no stone unturned as they delve into the intricacies of this operation.

This development serves as a stark reminder of the challenges posed by illegal immigration and the lengths to which some individuals are willing to go in order to evade the law. It also underscores the NIA’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security and integrity.
