Murder Involving: In Brampton, Canada, an 18-year-old of Indian origin, Preetpaul Singh, has been arrested in connection with the murder of another 18-year-old Indian-origin guy, Nishan Thind.

Thind was fatally shot by a 16-year-old boy, who is currently on the run, prompting a Canada-wide manhunt.

The Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau took action after Thind was admitted to a local hospital on December 19, 2023, and later succumbed to his injuries. Though initially unclear, investigations revealed Thind had been shot, and he was dropped off at the hospital by an unknown person.

On January 9, 2024, a search warrant at a Brampton residence resulted in the arrest of Preetpaul Singh. He faces charges of being an accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offense.

Singh is currently in custody and is set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

The 16-year-old suspected shooter, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has a Canada-wide warrant for manslaughter. The motive behind Thind’s murder remains under investigation.
