Michael Mohamed’s football career began at the University of California, where he quickly made a name for himself as a standout player. As a Golden Bear, Mohamed’s performance was consistently stellar, earning him First Team All-Pac-10 honors after leading the conference with 112 tackles.

Michael Patrick Mohamed’s exceptional stats, including 289 career tackles and seven interceptions over 45 games, placed him fifth among the school’s all-time leading tacklers.

In 2011, Michael Patrick Mohamed’s dreams of playing in the NFL came to fruition when he was selected by the Denver Broncos in the sixth round, 189th overall, of the NFL Draft. This achievement marked the beginning of a professional journey that would see him play for several teams, including the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, and New Orleans Saints.

Overcoming Challenges and Persevering

Despite the challenges and frequent transitions between teams, Mohamed demonstrated resilience and adaptability. His time with the Denver Broncos saw him move between the active roster and the practice squad, but he never wavered in his commitment to the sport. This determination was evident again when he joined the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad in 2012, only to be released shortly after.

Undeterred, Michael Patrick Mohamed signed a future contract with the Houston Texans in January 2013. It was with the Texans that he found a more stable footing, appearing in 22 games over two seasons and making significant contributions, including an interception during a critical game against the Cleveland Browns in 2014.

Transitioning to a New Career

After retiring from professional play, he pursued an MBA at Indiana University, focusing on investment banking. In his current role as an investment banking associate at Guggenheim Partners in Manhattan, Michael Patrick Mohamed advises companies on strategic directions and helps them raise capital.
