Indian Lawyer: Ajit Mishra, a distinguished India-born lawyer based in the UK, has been honoured with the prestigious Freedom of the City of London Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the legal and public spheres.
The founder and chair of the UK India Legal Partnership (UKILP), Mishra, who also serves as a dual-qualified lawyer and corporate partner at Knights, received the award on January 23.

Boasting over two decades of professional expertise in overseeing M&A and commercial transactions bridging India and the UK, Mishra has held pivotal roles as a Partner and head of the India desk at esteemed domestic and international law firms.
The nomination for this esteemed accolade came from Chris Hayword, Policy Chairman of the London Corporation, and Shravan Joshi, Deputy Chair of the civil affairs committee.
Mishra’s brainchild, UK India Legal Partnership (UKILP), has emerged as a dynamic networking platform, rapidly gaining prominence as a leading hub for senior lawyers facilitating connections between the legal communities of India and the UK.
