In a significant development, the United States has announced the initiation of online filing for H-1B visa applications for the fiscal year 2025, beginning in February.
The USCIS is set to roll out organizational accounts, a novel approach aimed at fostering online collaboration and simplifying the submission process for H-1B registrations.
H-1B Visa Updates
These organizational accounts, designed not only for the FY 2025 H-1B cap season but also for non-cap filings, will empower multiple individuals within an organization, including legal representatives, to collaboratively prepare and submit H-1B registrations.
The USCIS plans to unveil the organizational accounts and disclose the H-1B registration dates by the end of January.
USCIS has scheduled two national engagements on organizational accounts on January 23 and January 24. Additionally, several smaller sessions leading up to the H-1B registration period will provide a platform for addressing queries and offering insights.
Underlining its commitment to fortify the integrity of the H-1B program, the Biden administration introduced changes last year to optimize efficiency while maintaining the mandated annual cap of 60K visas.
A crucial aspect of this initiative is a proposed rule preventing related entities from submitting multiple registrations for the same beneficiary, a measure aimed at curbing potential misuse and fraud.
This comprehensive strategy not only marks a pivotal moment in the FY25 H-1B visa process but also reflects the ongoing efforts to refine and safeguard the integrity of the H-1B program within the broader framework of immigration policies in the United States.
