Global Competition : According to a recent study by McKinsey, the number of Indian tourists is expected to surge in the near future, thanks to the country’s improving economic conditions and an increasing inclination towards international travel.

The report, recently published titled “From India to the World: Unleashing the Potential of India’s Tourists,” suggests that if India follows a similar trajectory as China in terms of outbound travel, Indian tourists could be making up to 90 million trips annually by the year 2040.

This week, Thailand made an announcement that Indian travellers will enjoy a visa-free period from November 10 to May 10.

Saudi Arabia, which is actively promoting itself as a top global tourism hub, welcomed 1 million Indian visitors from January to September this year and aims to attract 2.4 million visitors from India by 2024.

Australia has put in substantial efforts to simplify and expedite the visa application process for Indian tourists.

Indian travellers to Australia spent a total of Rs 12K crore in the year ending June, representing a 24% increase compared to the year ending June 2019.

Turkey has firmly established itself as a preferred destination for both Indian weddings and holidays, offering the convenience of direct flights for Indian travellers.
