In a bold and dramatic statement, tech billionaire Elon Musk declared on Sunday that if Donald Trump, the Republican candidate, is not voted into power in the upcoming United States presidential elections, it will be the “last election” in the country. Musk’s endorsement of the former President, shared via a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), has sparked intense political conversation, positioning the 2024 election as a pivotal moment in U.S. democracy.
“Trump is the Only Way to Save Democracy”
Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and X, has often been vocal about his political opinions. However, his latest remarks have raised eyebrows. In a striking tweet, he said, “Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!” Musk’s declaration underscored his firm belief that the former President’s victory is the only path to safeguarding the democratic system in the U.S.
The SpaceX CEO’s words have triggered a wave of reactions, with many interpreting this as an unprecedented level of support from a high-profile business magnate for Trump. Musk’s claim has also fueled a broader conversation about the state of American politics and the future of the country under the leadership of the current administration.
Musk Accuses Biden Administration of Manipulating Voting Demographics
In his extended comments, Musk went on to criticize the Joe Biden-led government, accusing it of altering the electoral landscape by fast-tracking illegal migrants into swing states and eventually granting them citizenship. Elon Musk argued that this influx of new citizens could permanently change the balance of power in these critical battleground areas.
“If even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that the Democrats are expediting as fast as humanly possible, that would be about 2 million new legal voters in 4 years,” Elon Musk stated. “The voting margin in swing states is often less than 20,000 votes. That means if the ‘Democratic’ Party succeeds, there will be no more swing states!”
Elon Musk’s remarks reflect his belief that the current administration is effectively rigging future elections, which he warns will result in a one-party system dominated by Democrats.
“America Will Become a One-Party State”
Continuing his criticism of the Biden administration, Musk suggested that asylum seekers are being flown into swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Arizona in a deliberate attempt to reshape electoral outcomes.
“The Biden/Harris administration has been flying ‘asylum seekers,’ who are fast-tracked to citizenship, directly into swing states. It is a surefire way to win every election,” Musk wrote, warning that this would lead to America becoming a one-party state. He claimed that the only elections left in such a scenario would be Democratic primaries.
Drawing a parallel to California, Musk added, “Once the whole country is controlled by one party, there will be no escape. Everywhere in America will be like the nightmare that is downtown San Francisco.”
Musk’s Full Endorsement of Trump
Elon Musk’s endorsement of Donald Trump for the presidency has been evident over the last few months. Following an assassination attempt on Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania in July 2024, Musk expressed his full support, posting a video of Trump and stating, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”
The tech mogul has also supported political action committees (PACs) backing Trump’s campaign, further cementing his public alignment with the former President. In a striking move, Musk even called for the resignation of key Secret Service officials responsible for Trump’s security, demanding accountability in the wake of the assassination attempt.
Musk Willing to Join Trump’s Cabinet
Elon Musk’s alliance with Trump has gone beyond just an endorsement. In a recent interview, Trump revealed that he would consider appointing Musk to a position in his Cabinet if elected. “He’s a very smart guy. I certainly would, if he would do it. He’s a brilliant guy,” Trump stated.
In response, Elon Musk quickly accepted the potential offer, writing on X, “I’m willing to serve,” signaling his readiness to take on a formal role in a future Trump administration.
