In 2018, representing the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition’s People’s Justice Party (PKR), Santhara won the Segamat parliamentary seat with over 52% of the vote. This victory marked his entry into Malaysia’s Parliament, where he advocated for inclusive development and people-centric policies.
Santhara’s political career saw him serve in key ministerial roles:
- Deputy Minister of Federal Territories (March 2020 – August 2021)
