A product of exceptional education and unwavering dedication, Aseem Shukla’s journey began with humble roots. Graduating from Cooper City High School, he embarked on a transformative academic odyssey, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the esteemed University of South Florida.

Fuelled by a passion for healing and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Shukla pursued residencies in general surgery and urology at the same institution, honing his skills under the guidance of leading medical minds.

Championing Minimally Invasive Surgery

Dr. Shukla’s tenure at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia heralded a new era in pediatric urology. As the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery, he pioneered groundbreaking techniques in robotic-assisted laparoscopy, ushering in a paradigm shift in surgical precision and patient outcomes.

His clinical and research interests span a wide spectrum, including urinary reflux, hydronephrosis, urinary tract reconstruction, hypospadias, and disorders of sexual differentiation.

A Global Force for Pediatric Healthcare

Beyond the confines of the operating room, Aseem Shukla is a tireless advocate for global health equity. Since 2009, he has spearheaded the International Bladder-Exstrophy and Epispadias Collaborative in Ahmedabad, India, a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing surgical education and care delivery in underserved communities.

Dr. Shukla’s commitment to humanitarianism extends further as a volunteer surgeon for the Foundation for the Children of Iran, exemplifying his belief in the transformative power of compassion and collaboration.
