Immigration Racket : Using fake marksheets was busted

Immigration Racket : Arrest Immigration Consultant and Accomplice

Immigration Racket : In a significant breakthrough, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Anand district police has uncovered an intricate immigration fraud scheme. Two individuals, including an immigration consultant, were apprehended during a raid on Friday, shedding light on a clandestine operation that utilized counterfeit mark sheets to facilitate immigration.

Acting on credible information, SOG officials executed a meticulously planned raid on the office of “K C Overseas,” a consultancy firm located in a commercial complex along the Anand-Vidyanagar Road. Inside, they discovered a cache of 20 counterfeit mark sheets. The primary suspect, Swati Soni, who operated the immigration agency, was taken into custody and subjected to rigorous questioning.

Immigration Racket & Investigation

As the investigation deepened, it emerged that the fraudulent mark sheets were sourced from Pavankumar Bharati, a resident of Vadodara, who was subsequently apprehended and detained for questioning. All the forged documents purportedly belonged to Shivaji University in Kolhapur and included complete sets of semester exams.

The modus operandi exposed by this operation is a disconcertingly common tactic employed to enable individuals to emigrate using fake educational credentials. In this case, the scheme was devised to facilitate immigration to the United Kingdom, where a graduation degree is often a prerequisite for obtaining a work permit.

While the authenticity of the seized documents is evident, law enforcement is taking no chances. The authorities are working to formally verify the documents with Shivaji University. Simultaneously, Bharati is being interrogated to ascertain the source of the forged degrees, and whether they have been used previously to send individuals abroad.

Additional details regarding the full extent of this nefarious immigration fraud racket are anticipated to surface as Bharati’s interrogation continues in police custody. An official complaint related to the racket has been registered at the Anand town police station.
